Babson Athletics Hall of Fame
When Stephen Webber graduated in 1992, he had clearly established himself as one of the greatest goalkeepers in Babson men's soccer history. A three-time All-American and All-New England selection, Webber was voted conference Player of the Year and New England Player of the Year after his remarkable senior season in 1991. That fall, he set new school records for shutouts in a single season (15) and in a career (45), both of which he still holds today. In addition to his numerous individual honors, Webber helped his team achieve tremendous success. During his four-year career, the Beavers reached the NCAA Division III Tournament four consecutive times, advancing all the way to the Final Four in 1991. He also led Babson to Constitution Athletic Conference titles in each of his final two seasons, and helped the Beavers compile a record of 56-16-9 between 1988 and 1991. Since leaving Babson, he has continued to enjoy success both in and out of soccer. In 1994, he was a member of the inaugural Boston Storm team of the USISL, and in 1996 and 1997, he coached the Greater Boston Bolt girls' soccer team to the State Championship.Â
