Babson Athletics Hall of Fame
One of just two five-time All-America selections in men's alpine skiing, Thurber enjoyed unparalleled success on the slopes from 2003-06. He earned All-America honors in the slalom, giant slalom and combined standings at the 2004 United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association (USCSA) National Championships and added All-America finishes in the GS in both 2005 and 2006. Thurber, who was a four-time USCSA All-East region selection, reached USCSA nationals as an individual in 2003 and 2004, and helped the Beavers qualify as a team in each of his final two seasons for the first time in close to two decades.Â
