Babson Athletics Hall of Fame
The first American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) All-America selection in program history, Ahern was a three-time All-New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) selection and tabbed as the league player of the year as a senior after batting .438 with 18 doubles, nine home runs, 30 RBI and 36 runs scored at the plate while going 5-2 with a 1.19 ERA and three complete games in seven starts on the mound. One of the best two-way players in Babson history, he ranks first in batting average (.381), second in ERA (2.42), third in saves (9), fourth in slugging percentage (.593) and ninth in doubles (35) and stolen bases (33).Â
