Babson College

John Dolan is credited with providing Babson athletics with both administrative and athletic talent in the mid-1950s. During his time at Babson, he played a crucial part in the structuring of intramural activities and guidelines as a member of the prestigious Athletic Council. A three-year starter on the basketball team, John was appointed co-captain in his senior year; and, as the starting goalie on the first varsity soccer team, he established a standard of excellence in goalkeeping that was carried forward into the NCAA tournament years. From all accounts, John is considered one of the finest athletes of his era.
