One of Babson's all-time great goaltenders, Capprini helped lead the ice hockey program to an incredible four-year run that featured four straight trips to the national semifinals. A three-time All-ECAC selection, he played in 92 career games between the pipes, posting a 57-23-6 record with 2,389 saves, a 2.56 goals against average, and a .916 save percentage in 5,156 minutes of action. Capprini was named to the AHCA All-America second team after recording a career-low 2.27 GAA in 1989-90. The following year he became the seventh player in program history and only the third goalie to earn All-America first-team honors after guiding Babson to its fourth consecutive appearance in the NCAA Frozen Four. Owner of seven career shutouts - including a program-record three in 1987-88 - Capprini was taken by the New York Islanders in the 12th round of the 1988 NHL Draft, making him just the third player in team history to earn that distinction.
