Babson Athletics Hall of Fame
A four-year letterwinner for the men's ice hockey team, Beran helped guide Babson to four straight NCAA Tournament appearances and two trips to the national semifinals. In 119 career games, he tallied 76 goals and 86 assists for 162 points, and was named All-America Second Team following his senior season. Also a team captain that winter, he was selected as Babson's 1989 Senior Male Athlete of the Year. He still ranks fifth on the program's all-time goals and points lists while ranking seventh in career assists. His 28 goals as a junior in 1987-88 is the fifth highest single-season total in school history. During his four seasons, Babson compiled a spectacular record of 82-35-3.Â
