The all-time leading scorer in women's lacrosse history, Pettengill earned All-America honors in both 2009 and 2010, and was a first-team all-conference and all-region selection in each of her four seasons. She ranks first on the Beavers' career lists in both goals (218) and points (277), third in caused turnovers (103) and eighth in both assists (59) and ground balls (135), and is the only player in program history with four 50-goal seasons and at least 50 goals and 30 caused turnovers in the same year, which she achieved twice. Along with her individual success, Pettengill was a part of four straight NEWMAC Tournament championships and helped the Beavers advance to the NCAA Tournament Round of 16 in four consecutive seasons from 2007-10.
