Babson Athletics Hall of Fame
One of the College’s most respected administrators, coaches and professors, Govoni has left an indelible mark through his service to Babson Athletics over the better part of four decades. He has served as the Faculty Athletics Representative (FAR) for the department since the early 1970s and was one of the founders of the Babson Athletics Hall of Fame, writing the bylaws and serving on the committee since it enshrined its first class in 1991. Govoni has been an assistant baseball coach since 1993, helping the Beavers to 472 victories, five conference titles and two NCAA Tournament appearances. He was also the driving force behind building one of the top collegiate baseball facilities in New England, Norman and Terry Govoni Field, which was named in his and his late wife's honor, in 2002.
