Babson Athletics Hall of Fame
One of Babson’s most successful and respected coaches and administrators, Judy Blinstrub has recorded more victories than any other coach in school history. Before stepping down in 2005, she guided the women’s soccer team to 200 wins, four conference championships, and six ECAC New England Tournament bids during 21 seasons. In basketball, she has led the Beavers to 581 victories, nine conference championships, eight ECAC Tournament bids, and nine NCAA Tournament appearances in 32 seasons. In 2010-11, she guided her team to an amazing 30–1 mark, a third straight NEWMAC Championship, and the program’s second consecutive trip to the Division III National Quarterfinals. She has been named Conference Coach of the Year 12 times, was tabbed the New England Women’s Basketball Association Coach of the Year on four occasions, was selected as the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association District Coach of the Year twice, and is the only women’s coach in NCAA Division III history with at least 200 wins in soccer and 400 victories in basketball. A member of the Northeast Women’s Hall of Fame as well as the Athletics Hall of Fame at her alma mater Bridgewater State, Blinstrub also has positively influenced countless student-athletes as Babson’s senior women’s administrator and associate director of athletics.
