SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 67-27 all-time against Coast Guard in a series that dates back to 1978.

• Nate Stafford finished with four hits and Carson Cho was 2-for-5 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored as Coast Guard finished off a doubleheader sweep of the Beavers with a 7-6 victory on April 27, 2025, in Babson Park.
• Paul Madden hit a two-run homer in the first inning and Tyler Michalek tossed four shutout innings out of the bullpen for the Bears, who took advantage of errors by the Green and White to tack on insurance runs in both the sixth and seventh innings.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (6-7, 0-1 NEWMAC) has won four of its last five games after defeating Roger Williams, 12-6, on Thursday afternoon.
• Junior
Dante D'Avanzo went 2-for-5 with a double and a career-high five RBI and senior
Zander Teator knocked in a pair of runs for the Beavers, who got hits from eight different players and scored in each of the first six innings.
• First-year
Bobby Christensen is batting .405 with two extra-base hits, five RBI and seven runs scored, graduate student
Ryan Grace is hitting .373 with three home runs, four doubles, 15 RBI and 13 runs scored, and sophomore
Dylan Drazka enters the weekend with a .351 average to go along with a double, five stolen bases, nine runs batted in and eight runs scored.

Chase Burrows is 2-0 in three starts with an 8.27 earned run average over 16.1 innings, junior
James Clark (2-2, 5.79 ERA) has allowed just one earned run over each of his last two starts, and graduate student
Joe Carrea (0-0) boasts a 1.08 ERA and a 0.48 WHIP while striking out 10 over 8.1 innings this spring.
SCOUTING THE BEARS
• Coast Guard (6-7, 0-1 NEWMAC) has won three of its last four games after rallying for a 6-5 victory over Albertus Magnus on Thursday afternoon.
• Michalek doubled twice and drove in a pair of runs and Stafford and Ayden Gurevich both provided two hits and an RBI for the Bears, who got 7.2 shutout innings from three relievers and a game-winning sacrifice fly from Yadisson Karbalaieasghar in the bottom of the ninth.
• Stafford is batting .404 with two home runs, seven doubles, nine RBI and 11 runs scored, Max Van Auken is hitting .311 with two doubles, a homer, nine RBI and seven runs scored, and Luke Percifield owns a .302 average to go along with two doubles and six runs batted in.
• Raymond Priddy is 1-1 with a 2.87 ERA and 12 strikeouts in 15.2 innings pitched, John DiMarsico (2-0, 4.24 ERA) is holding opposing hitters to a .231 average over 17.0 innings and Jackson Doresey (1-1, 1.17 ERA) has three saves in five appearances out of the bullen this spring.
SUCCESS AGAINST THE BEARS
• Senior
Zander Teator has made three appearances on the mound against Coast Guard over the last two seasons going 1-0 with one save while striking out five and allowing one unearned run over 5.1 innings.
• Liss went 3-for-9 (.333) with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in two games versus the Bears last season, while D'Avanzo hit .333 (3-for-9) with a double, two RBI and three runs scored in two starts against Coast Guard in 2024.
STREAKING BEAVERS
• Drazka enters Sunday's doubleheader riding a six-game hitting streak, while Valente and senior
Ryan Hvozdovic both have at least one knock in each of their last four outings.
• Grace has reached base safely in all 13 contests to begin the season, Drazka has gotten on in each of the last seven games and Christensen has recorded three straight multi-hit games and has reached base in six consecutive outings.
BEAVER BITES
• Christensen leads the Beavers with six multi-hit games, while Grace is first on the squad with five multi-RBI games.
• Valente and sophomore
Brooks Saft both hit the first home runs of their respective careers on Wednesday against Suffolk while combining to drive in eight runs.
• Drazka, who has 46 plate appearances this spring, is one of six Division III players with at least 30 at-bats and zero strikeouts entering the weekend.
CALL TO THE 'PEN
• First-year
Bourke Reid made his collegiate debut against Roger Williams on Thursday, striking out two and allowing just one hit over 2.2 scoreless innings to pick up his first career win.
• Junior
Tristan Pearl struck out four over three scoreless innings in Wednesday's victory over Suffolk, while classmate
Brennan Shapiro retired the side in order in the seventh inning in his first action of year against the Rams.
• Sophomore
Graydon Vyse, who earned his first career save in the Beavers' win over Rutgers-Newark on March 18, tossed a scoreless ninth inning in Thursday's victory over Roger Williams.
POLL POSITION
• Despite losing the opening round of last year's conference tournament, Babson was picked to finish third in the NEWMAC preseason coaches' poll earlier this month.
• The Beavers totaled 51 points coming in just five points behind second-place Coast Guard, while No. 4/6 Salve Regina, the reigning NEWMAC Tournament and regular season champions, claimed seven of nine first-place votes to finish atop the poll with 63 points.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Beavers are 6-1 this season when scoring at least six runs.
• Babson is 4-0 on the year and 18-3 going back to the start of the 2025 campaign when recording more hits than its opponents.
• The Green and White is 6-0 this spring and 51-1 since 2024 when leading after seven innings.
