Matia Cristiani (San Salvador, El Salvador) recorded victories in both singles and doubles to help 17th-ranked Babson College defeat No. 22 Redlands College, 6-1, in non-conference women's tennis action on Friday night.
Babson improves to 3-1 on the year with the win, while Redlands drops to 4-6 overall with the loss.
Soffer and Cristiani were 6-2 winners at number two doubles and first-years
Sarai Dorismond (Carlsbad, Calif.) and
Mia Sorrentino (Miami, Fla.) secured the doubles point for the Beavers with a 7-6 (7-2) victory over the Bulldogs' duo of Vrishitha Sambathkumar (Mumbai, India) and Lindsey Whelan (Mercer Island, Wash.) at number three. The Redlands duo of Kiana Brady (Hermosa Beach, Calif.) and Christine O'Brien (Leawood, Kan.) defeated Babson's pairing of sophomore

Chaniel Soffer recorded a 6-1, 5-7, 10-7 victory at number three and
Alessandra Cristiani breezed to a 6-0, 6-2 triumph at number four singles.
The Beavers' final point came at number six singles where junior
Grace Starcher (Morristown, N.J.) posted a 6-4, 6-4 win over Sambathkumar.
Babson will conclude its west coast trip on Saturday when it travels to Pasadena, Calif., to take on No. 29 Caltech at 1 p.m. ET.
