D3hoops.com Team of the Week Release
BABSON PARK, Mass.—Babson College graduate student
Emily Flynn (Hanover, Mass.) was named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week early Tuesday morning.
Flynn, who is the Beavers' first D3hoops.com Team of the Week selection since Kelly Walsh '24 back on January 10, 2023, was recognized along with Addy Huss of Carleton (Minn.), Meghan Trewhella of Albion (Mich.), Samaree Perkins of Capital (Ohio) and Taylor Thiry of St. Norbert (Minn.).
Flynn, was earned New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Offensive Player of the Week accolades on Monday, averaged 18.5 points, 10.5 rebounds and 6.0 assists while shooting 45.2 percent from the floor and 42.1 percent from three-point range as Babson split home games with Tufts and Albertus Magnus last week. She scored a career-high 21 points to go along with nine rebounds in a 67-63 loss to the Jumbos before recording the program's first triple-double since 2011 with 16 points, 12 boards and a career-high 10 assists in last Saturday's 74-50 rout of the Falcons.
Flynn's triple-double is one of just four this season in Division III and the Beavers' first since Sarah Collins '13 finished with 11 points, 14 rebounds and a career-high 11 blocked shots in a victory over Springfield on January 22, 2011.
Babson (3-3) travels to Claremont, Calif., to face Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Friday and Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday in the David Wells Classic. Both games are set for 8 p.m. EST.
