WHAT TO KNOW
• The Babson women's basketball team will spend Thanksgiving in southern California as it prepares to compete in the David Wells Classic along with Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, Oberlin and Pomona-Pitzer east of Los Angeles in the shadow of the San Gabriel Mountains.
• The Beavers will begin the weekend against Pomona-Pitzer on Friday night before traveling less than a mile down E 6th St. in Claremont to face Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Saturday.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (3-3) heads to the west coast looking to bounce back from a 64-52 loss to unbeaten Brandeis on Monday night.
• Sophomore
Rylie Rosenberg came off the bench to score a career-high 17 points and junior
Samantha Reale added 10 points, 11 rebounds and four steals for the Beavers, who cut an 18-point deficit down to just five on three occasions in the fourth quarter despite shooting just 29 percent for the game.

Emily Flynn (13.3 pts, 7.7 reb, 4.0 ast) is shooting 46.9 percent from the floor and 42.9 percent from beyond the arc, Reale (11.8 pts, 9.0 reb, 2.5 stl, 2.0 ast) has three double-doubles and leads the team in rebounds and steals, and senior
Chloe Perreault (8.8 pts, 7.2 reb) is third on the squad in both scoring and rebounding.
• The Green and White ranks 14th in Division III in rebounding margin (14.0) and 19th in three-point field goals per game (8.6).
SCOUTING THE SAGEHENS
• Pomona-Pitzer (3-1) has won its last two games and is coming off a 59-52 victory over Whitworth last Saturday.
• Avery Patricco scored 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting, Jadyn Lee finished with 15 points, eight rebounds, six assists, three blocks and three steals, and Abigail Homan added 14 points for the Sagehens, who assisted on 18 of their 22 field goals and turned 23 turnovers by the Pirates into 26 points.
• Homan (15.3 pts, 6.5 reb, 2.5 ast, 2.2 stl) leads the team in both scoring and rebounding, Patricco (11.5 pts, 2.8 ast) is shooting 70.8 percent over the first four games, and Sara Chicco is averaging 9.5 points and 3.0 rebounds while shooting 47.6 percent (10-of-21) from three-point range.
• Pomona-Pitzer, which has recorded all three of its wins by eight points or fewer, is shooting 40.9 percent from the field and averaging 7.8 three-pointers per contest.
SCOUTING THE ATHENAS
• Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (4-1) enters the weekend riding a three-game winning streak after cruising past Whitworth, 85-55, last Thursday.
• Haylie Wang led five players in double figures with 16 points, Tanya Ghai scored 13 points and Renee Chong and Katie Resendiz added 11 points apiece for the Athenas, who knocked down 13 three-pointers and turned 26 turnovers by the Pirates into 29 points.
• Resendiz (11.6 pts, 4.8 reb, 2.8 stl) has scored in double figures in four straight games and is shooting 48 percent from the floor, Caleigh Edwards (10.8 pts, 6.2 reb, 2.6 ast) leads the team in rebounding and is 9-of-15 (60 percent) from three-point range, and Ghai (10.4 pts, 3.2 reb, 1.8 stl) is averaging 14.7 points on 45.9 percent shooting over the last three contests.
• CMS has held its first five opponents to just 51.6 points on 32.5 percent shooting while forcing 19.8 turnovers.
HONORS ROLL IN FOR FLYNN
• After being tabbed as the NEWMAC Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, Flynn was named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week and was selected as the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) Player of the Week on Tuesday.
• She averaged 18.5 points, 10.5 rebounds and 6.0 assists while shooting 45.2 percent from the floor and 42.1 percent from deep as Babson split games against Tufts and Albertus Magnus.
• Flynn also recorded the Beavers' first triple-double since 2011 with 16 points, 12 boards and a career-high 10 assists in last Saturday's triumph over the Falcons.
CALIFORNIA LOVE
• This weekend's trip to the David Wells Classic marks the first time Babson will play in California since January 7-8, 2000, when it participated in the Whittier Poet Classic.
• The Beavers are 2-2 all-time against teams from the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC), which includes a 70-51 victory over Cal Lutheran in Miami back on December 18, 2018, in Miami.
• In addition to this weekend's trip to Claremont, Babson will also face UC-Santa Cruz in the Judy Pearson '85 Memorial Tournament on December 30.
BEAVER BITES
• Flynn has connected on at least one three-pointer in nine straight games going back to last February, and has connected on two or more triples in eight of the nine contests.
• Over the last two games, Rosenberg is averaging 14.0 points on 50 percent shooting (10-for-20).
• Reale has at least one steal in all six games this season and 14 over her last five outings.
• Perreault has knocked down a three-pointer in eight consecutive games dating back to the end of last season.

NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Beavers have won the rebounding battle in each of their first six contests and own an offensive rebounding rate of 37.7 percent on the year.
• Babson is averaging 74.3 points in its three wins but just 56.0 points in its three losses this season.
• The Green and White is 3-0 when outscoring its foes at the free throw line but has attempted just 28 free throws in its three losses.
• Babson has won seven of its last eight games away from home going back to January 25 of last season.
