ATLANTA—The Babson College women's basketball team was recognized for its success in the classroom by earning Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Division III Academic Honor Roll accolades for the third consecutive season earlier this week.
Led by third-year head coach
Kate Barnosky, the Beavers wrapped up the 2025-26 academic year with a 3.415 grade-point average. In addition to honoring the top 25 GPA's in each division, the WBCA also recognizes each institution that finishes with at least a 3.0 GPA during the year.
Nine of the Beavers' 14 players recorded a GPA of 3.50 or better for the year, and 11 student-athletes posted a GPA of 3.25 or higher during the spring semester. In all, 10 of Barnosky's 14 players had a GPA of 3.40 or better over both semesters.
Babson concluded the 2025-26 campaign with an overall record of 18-9 and went 9-2 in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) play before seeing is season come to a close in the conference tournament semifinals back in February.
