NORTHAMPTON, Mass.—Babson College graduate student
Emily Flynn (Hanover, Mass.) was named to the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) third team when the organization announced its award winners on Monday afternoon.
An All-New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) first-team selection earlier this month, Flynn averaged career highs of 14.6 points, 7.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists while shooting 42.6 percent from the field. She led the team in scoring, rebounding and assists while posting five double-doubles, the program's first triple-double since 2011 back in November, in addition to scoring in double figures 19 times in 25 games.
Flynn, who started 50 of 51 contests over her final two seasons, appeared in 81 career games for the Beavers averaging 9.4 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists while shooting 42.6 percent from the field. She graduates in fifth place on the program's all-time list with 115 career three-pointers.
Babson concluded its season with a record 18-9 after falling to Clark in the NEWMAC semifinals in late February.
