Five From Women’s Basketball Honored with NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Recognition

MARLBOROUGH, Mass.— Five members of the Babson College women's basketball team were recognized for their work in the classroom when the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) announced its Academic All-Conference team on Friday.

Senior Chloe Perreault (Danbury, Conn.) was named to the All-Academic Team for the third straight year, and sophomores Brooke Canty (Dover, Mass.), Mary Kate Flynn (Hanover, Mass.), Madison Hart (Greenwich, Conn.) and Rylie Rosenberg (New Rochelle, N.Y.) all earned their first NEWMAC academic honor. Honorees must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale after the 2025 fall semester, achieved second-year academic status, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.

An Operations and Sustainability major, Perreault was one of two players to start all 27 games this season for the Beavers and registered 7.7 points and 6.2 rebounds per game to finish third on the team in scoring and second in rebounds. She shot 37.0 percent from the field and 31.2 percent from 3-point range, knocking down 39 3-pointers on the season. A four-year veteran, she finished her career with 51 starts in 107 games, scoring 612 points and grabbing 484 rebounds while making 72 3-point baskets, 13th-most in program history.

A Business major, Canty saw action in 23 games at forward for the Beavers, averaging 1.9 points and 1.2 rebounds in 8.8 minutes per game. She shot 40.5 percent from the field, knocked down a pair of 3-point shots, and collected six assists, two steals and two blocked shots. She had a season-high nine points in a win over Albertus Magnus in November and grabbed a season-high five rebounds in a win over Bridgewater State in December.

A Business major, Flynn appeared in 26 games with five starts at forward for the Beavers, averaging 2.6 points and 4.9 rebounds in 13.8 minutes per outing, finishing fourth on the team in rebounding. She shot 36.6 percent from the field and produced 18 assists, 19 steals and 10 blocked shots, which ranked her seventh on the team in assists, fifth in steals and third in blocked shots. She scored a season-high nine points in a conference win over Wheaton on February 21, and collected double-digits rebounds in two games, including a dozen in a win over Hartford on December 29 and 11 in a loss to Connecticut College on January 3.

A Business major, Hart did not see action in any games this year for the Beavers due to a serious injury suffered last summer. She appeared in 16 games as a rookie in 2024-25 and averaged 2.4 points in 8.8 minutes per game.

A Business major, Rosenberg started 20 of her 27 games for the Beavers and finished second on the team in scoring with 11.5 points per game to go along with 3.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.4 steals. She shot 38.5 percent from the field and 33.9 percent from 3-point range, connecting on 65 shots from beyond the arc, third-most in a season in program history. She scored in double figures in 17 games, including a season-high 23 points in a NEWMAC Tournament quarterfinal victory over Coast Guad on February 25.

Babson finished the season with an 18-9 record this winter, the most wins since 2022-23, including 9-2 in conference play, and advanced to the NEWMAC Tournament semifinals.
