SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 2-1 all-time against Salve Regina in a series that dates back to 2009.
• Saturday's game will be the first contest between the two teams since 2011.
• The Seahawks captured the first meeting in Babson Park, 9-5, back in 2009 before the Beavers took the next two, 12-9 in 2010 in Rhode Island and 16-12 in 2011 at MacDowell Field.
LAST MEETING
• Babson used an 11-2 run during the middle two quarters to build a 12-6 lead and then withstood a late comeback attempt by visiting Salve Regina for a 16-12 victory on April 13, 2011.
• Cam Caruso recorded three goals and three assists while also picking up five ground balls and winning eight face-offs. Jeff MacCune added three goals for the Beavers, Alex Patinkin tallied one goal and three assists, and Ryan Dawidjan paced the defense with seven ground balls and a game-high four caused turnovers. Jay Whalen made nine saves in the first three quarters in net while Ryan Lee stopped five shots in the fourth.
• Salve Regina received five goals and one assist from Chris Walker as well as four goals, one assist, and four ground balls from Evan Gates. Blair Kelley led all players with nine ground balls, Curtis McKeon won 18 face-offs, and Brett Pimental made 17 saves in goal.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• No. 13 USILA/No. 11 USA Lacrosse Babson (10-2, 4-0 NEWMAC) brings a nine-game winning streak into Saturday's game after defeating Emerson, 15-6, in a conference match-up Saturday afternoon at MacDowell Field.

• Rainville (45-14-59) is second in the NEWMAC in both goals and points while first-year
Seamus Rooney (29-10-39) is fifth in the league in goals. Smith (9-26-35) and Bower (13-25-38) are second and third in the NEWMAC in assists. Turco leads the conference in face-off winning percentage (.660) and Sunderland is fourth at .604.

Chip Quinn (9) are the team leaders in caused turnovers. Fascilla (8.02 GAA, .632 sv. pct) leads the league in both goals against average and save percentage, and ranks ninth in Division III in save percentage and 14th in GAA.
SCOUTING THE SEAHAWKS
• Salve Regina (4-6, 3-1 NEWMAC), which joined the conference last summer, is coming off a 13-11 defeat to Wheaton last Saturday in Norton, Mass.
• Sophomore Chris Koltan led the Seahawks with four goals and an assist, classmate Daniel Naglieri added two goals and two helpers, and seniors Liam Cooney and Max Beauchamp chipped in with a goal and an assist each. Graduate student Kieran Hughes won 20-of-27 face-offs scooped up nine ground balls and sophomore William Kein made 13 saves in goal.
• Daniel Naglieri (20-21-41) leads the team in scoring along with Beauchamp (17-15-32) and graduate student Brendan Treacy (17-14-31) while Koltzan (19-8-27) is second on the squad in goals. Cooney (14-10-24) and junior Justin DeBalsi (17-4-21) are also offensive threats. Hughes has won 151-of-237 face-offs and picked up 83 round balls; he ranks second in the NEWMAC in face-off winning percentage (.637).
• Senior Jack Naglieri (10) and Treacy (8) lead the team in caused turnovers. Keim has a 13.02 GAA and a .490 save percentage in seven starts and first-year Andrew Hazard has a 12.73 GAA and .488 save percentage in three starts.
NEWMAC HONORS
• Rainville (Offense), Turco (Face-Off Specialist) and Fascilla (Defense) swept the NEWMAC weekly honors announced on Monday. Rainville became a first-time selection this season while Turco and Fascilla earned the honors for the third time.
• Rainville recorded a pair of six-goal performances and totaled 12 goals and four assists, Turco won 20-of-23 (.870) face-offs and scooped up 15 ground balls, and Fascilla posted a 6.00 goals against average and a .676 save percentage.
USILA RECOGNITION
• Rainville and Fascilla were also named to the US Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division III Team of the Week on Tuesday.
• It was the second consecutive USILA honor for Fascilla, including a Division III Defensive Player of the Week award, and first for Rainville.
NCAA LEADERS
• Babson ranks sixth in Division III in man-up offense, converting 54.3 percent with a man advantage.
• The Green and White are 22nd in face-off winning percentage (.632).
• The Beavers are 23rd in scoring offense (15.25 goals/game), 15th in scoring margin (+6.42), and 37th in scoring defense (8.83 goals/game).
NEWMAC POWERHOUSE
• The Green and White have won 10 straight NEWMAC regular season games going back to last season and are 16-3 against conference foes in since the start of the 2021 campaign.
• Babson has won two of the last three conference tournament titles.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Beavers have allowed a season-low six goals in four straight games and half of their dozen games this season.
• Babson is 9-0 this season and 35-2 since the start of the 2020 season when leading at halftime.
• The Green and White are 9-1 this year and 18-3 since the start of last season when winning at least 50 percent of the faceoffs, and 17-1 since last year when winning more ground balls than the opponents.
