SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (9-1, 3-0 NEWMAC), ranked fifth in Division III by the USILA and eighth by USA Lacrosse Magazine, is coming off a 16-6 conference road victory at Salve Regina Saturday evening at chilly Gaudet Field in Middletown, R.I.

Seamus Rooney (15-5-20) and McAleavey (15-1-16) all have 15 goals. Burns has a 72.4 success rate (123-170) on face-offs and leads the team with 90 ground balls.
• Ambrosh (12 caused turnovers, 14 ground balls) and Dorr (10 CTs, 16 GBs) anchor the Beaver defense, and Almquist has posted an 9.02 goals against average and a .603 save percentage with 135 saves in 10 starts between the pipes this season.
SCOUTING THE BEACONS
• UMass Boston (4-4, 1-1 LEC) is looking to rebound from a tough 16-15 conference overtime loss as Mass. Maritime last Friday night at Buzzards Bay, Mass.
• Senior Matt Hutchings and sophomore Matthew Konareski produced four goals each and sophomore Jack Schartner scored three times for the Beacons, who outscored the Mariners 8-3 in the fourth quarter to force overtime. Sophomore Hank Alessandro caused five turnovers and scooped up six ground balls, Kuzniar forced turnovers, and sophomore Oliver Bateman caused two miscues and grabbed five GBs in the setback, while Boldy made 16 saves in goal for the Beacons.
• Hutchings (22-5-27) and Schartner (22-4-27) are tied for the team lead in goals, and sophomore Tyler Hilgert (10-11-21) tops the squad in assists. Baker is 44-106 (.415) in face-offs, and Kuznier has team-highs of 22 caused turnovers and 32 ground balls while Alessandro has 13 CTs and 26 GBs.
• Boldy (12.50 GAA, .557 sv. pct.) has started all eight goals between the pipes for the Beacons and has made 122 saves.
BEAVERS EARN CONFERENCE RECOGNITION
• After a 2-1 week, which included a tough loss to No. 2/2 Bowdoin and the conference win at Salve Regina, Allen (Offense), Almquist (Defense) and Burns (Face-Off) swept the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) weekly awards on Monday.
• Allen put up five goals and one assist for six points in the 1-1 week, while Almquist totaled 35 saves with a 9.00 goals against average and a .660 save percentage and Burns won 17-of-31 face-offs (54.8 percent) and scooped up 13 ground balls.
• Burns earned the NEWMAC weekly honor for the fourth time this season while Almquist received the honor for the third time and Allen is now a two-time honoree.
CLIMBING THE CHARTS
• Smith has moved into third place on the career assist list with 92 assists, and into seventh place on the Babson career points list with 160. He need three points to tie Mike Welch '01 (116-47-163) for sixth place.
• Rooney has moved up to 15th on the program's career goal scoring list with 81 goals, and has climbed to 16th on the career points list with 125.
BEAVER BITES
• Rooney extended his point streak to 29 games going back to last season with a second-quarter goal against Salve Regina.
• Smith has at least three points in seven straight and nine of 10 games this season, and Smith and McAleavey are the only two Beavers who have points in all 10 games.

Tyee Ambrosh has at least one caused turnover in seven of his last eight games, including a career -high three forced turnovers vs. Bowdoin.
• Burns is 14th in Division III with a 71.8 face-off winning percentage and 20th with 9.00 ground balls per game.
• Almquist's 20 saves are one shy of his career high of 21 in the Beavers' 16-12 triumph over then-fourth-ranked RIT back on February 28.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
• Babson is 2-1 this year, 5-3 since last season, and 13-5 going back to 2023 in games that start after 6 p.m.
• The Green and White have won 23 in a row since the start of last year when scoring at least 10 goals.
• The Beavers are 7-1 this season and 18-3 going back to last spring when holding a lead at halftime.
• Since the start of the 2024 campaign, Babson is 33-3 when winning at least 50 percent of its face-offs.
• Going back to 2023, the Beavers are 22-6 in the month of March.
