SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 29-9 all-time against Wheaton in a series that dates back to 1992.

• Junior Charlie Racine led the Lyons with two goals, one assist and 10 ground balls, and Shane Ross '23 and juniors Mike McLaughlin and Jack Board scored twice each. Senior Jacob Wharton caused three turnovers and picked up five ground balls and junior goalie John Drew made 14 saves in goal in the setback.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• No. 17 USILA/No. 16 USA Lacrosse Babson (7-2, 2-0 NEWMAC) is riding a six-game winning streak after dismantling No. 9/9 Bowdoin, 13-6, Tuesday evening at MacDowell Field.
• Junior goalkeeper
Alex Fascilla made a career-high 21 saves and Babson held Bowdoin scoreless for 40 consecutive minutes to secure the win. Graduate student

Jacob Tauss each tallied two goals and an assist, and Smith added a goal and two assists in the win. Seniors

Brendan Maher each caused two turnovers and anchored a defense that limited Bowdoin to 11 goals below its season average. Grad student
James Turco won 8-of-12 face-offs for the Green and White.

Seamus Rooney (25-9-34) are among the NEWMAC leaders in both goals and points, and Smith (3-18-21) and senior
Topher Bower (13-13-26) are among the league leaders in assists. Turco leads the NEWMAC in face-off winning percentage (.619) and Sunderland is sixth at .541.

Sammy Kalishman (7) are the team leaders in caused turnovers. Fascilla (8.87 GAA, .617 sv. pct) is second in the league in both goals against average and save percentage, and ranks 14th in Division III in save percentage and 29th in GAA.
SCOUTING THE LYONS
• Wheaton (6-3, 2-0 NEWMAC) brings a three-game winning streak into Saturday's game after a 10-4 conference victory at Coast Guard last Saturday. A non-conference match-up Wednesday at Emmanuel was postponed.
• Sophomore Emmett Edwards tallied six points (3g, 3a) and junior Connor Almstrom denied 12 of 16 shots in the win. Junior Charlie Racine and first-year Will Durkee each netted a pair of goals for the Lyons, senior Jacob Wharton scooped up three ground balls and caused three turnovers, and classmate Cole Reid caused a pair of miscues and came up with three ground balls.
• Edwards (25-12-37) tops the team in scoring, while Racine (20-7-27) is also an offensive threat and Mike McLaughlin (12-11-23) is second on the team in assists. Wharton leads the league with 21 caused turnovers, Racine is among the league leaders with 39 ground balls, and first-year Chris Bodnaruk has won 50 percent (61-of-122) of his face-offs. Almstrom (8.83 GAA, .599 sv. pct) has seven games this season with at least 10 saves and leads the NEWMAC in goals against average and ranks second in save percentage.
• The Lyons have made a strong turnaround from last year, when they finished 6-10 overall and 0-6 in the NEWMAC.
NCAA LEADERS
• Babson ranks 22nd in Division III in man-up offense, converting 45.8 percent with a man advantage.
• The Beavers are 35th in scoring offense (14.44) and 32nd in scoring margin (+4.67).
NEWMAC POWERHOUSE
• The Green and White have won eight straight NEWMAC regular season games going back to last season and are 14-3 against conference foes in since the start of the 2021 campaign.
• Babson has won two of the last three conference tournament titles.
• The Beavers were picked first in this year's conference preseason coaches' poll, while Wheaton finished eighth.
BEAVER BITES
• Rainville has produced points in 37 consecutive games and goals in 36 straight dating back to his career at Connecticut College.
• Smith has a 17-game point streak dating back to last season, and Bower has points in 13 straight.
