Olivia Soffer (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) and sophomore
Matia Cristiani (Miami, Fla.) won their No. 1 doubles match against Bowdoin College and captured the top two singles flights matches against Middlebury College to highlight the Babson College women's tennis team performances Saturday afternoon on day one of the Bowdoin Invitational.
Junior
Laetitia Rizk (Beirut, Lebanon) was also a triple winner for the Beavers, who won all three team matchups against their opponents, taking two of three doubles against Bowdoin, four of six singles against Middlebury, and five of six in singles against Skidmore College.
The top Babson duo of Soffer and Cristiani registered an 8-6 victory over Cara Hung and Zoe Sun of Bowdoin to start the day. Soffer then won in straight sets over Sahana Raman of Middlebury at No. 1 singles, 6-4, 7-5, and Cristiani downed Amy Delman of Middlebury at No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-1.
Senior
Adèle Fernández (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico) and Rizk paired up for an 8-5 triumph at No. 3 doubles over Lizzy Yu and Julia Ross of Bowdoin. Sophomore
Elena Keitt (Austin, Texas) and first-year
Chaniel Soffer (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) were taken down at No. 2 by Bowdoin's Hannah Buckhout and Caroline Stuhlfaut, 8-3.
In addition to Soffer and Cristiani in the top two flights, Babson also won the Nos. 3 and 4 singles matches against Middlebury. Rizk pulled out a 6-4, 1-6, 1-0 (10-7) victory over Gena Huang at No. 3 and sophomore
Kamila Stasiowska (Burlington, Conn.) was a 7-6 (7-5), 6-2 winner over Charlotte McCann at No. 4. Middlebury captured the bottom two singles matches as Kavina Amin defeated Keitt at No. 5, 7-5, 6-1, and Anna Lardner outlasted sophomore
Mariana Campos (Houston, Texas) at No. 6, 3-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-5).
Rizk and
Chaniel Soffer captured the top two singles flights in straight sets against Skidmore, Rizk defeating Grace Truong at No. 1 (6-4, 6-4) and Soffer winning against Katherine Almquist at No. 2 (6-3, 6-2). Keitt and Campos needed a third-set super-breaker to pull out victories at No. 4 and No. 5, Keitt outlasting Katelyn Corpuz, 4-6, 6-3, (10-3), and Campus pulling out a 7-5, 1-6, (10-8) verdict over Coco Prokup. Juliette Moschella (Little Silver, N.J.) cruised to a 6-1 victory over Suhani Sabharwal at No. 6.
The lone Skidmore win came at No. 3, where Katie Wong pulled out a 3-6, 7-6 (7-3), (10-7) triumph over Stasiowska.
The tournament continues Sunday as Babson will face Skidmore and Middlebury in doubles and Bowdoin in singles.

• Her 57 career singles wins is two shy of the all-time program record of 59 and her 103 combined victories is four short of the program standard of 107.
• Both program records are held by Rebecca Stone '12, who combined for 59 wins in singles and 48 in doubles from 2008-12.
