Box Score BRIGHTON, Mass.—After winning eight singles matches on Saturday, the Babson College men's tennis concluded a strong weekend at the Boston University Invitational by going unbeaten in doubles on Sunday evening. 

Six different players recorded a victory in Saturday's singles competition, highlighted by sophomore Dylan O'Connell-DeCerchio (Santa Monica, Calif.) and first-year Eric Gunawan (Jakarta, Indonesia) both going 2-0. O'Connell-DeCerchio was a 6-3, 6-2 winner over Juan Carlos Portilla of Merrimack and defeated Arjun Bhatia of Merrimack 6-2, 3-6, 10-7, while Gunawan downed Matteo Castellazzi of Siena 6-0, 6-4 and Alex Salib of Hamilton 6-2, 6-2. 

Junior Sebastian Mendoza (Weston, Mass.) rallied for a 2-6, 6-3, 6-0 triumph over Hector Cebrian of Stonehill and first-year Andre Ziskind (Hilton Head Island, S.C.) edged Tarik Zubovic of Merrimack 6-4, 6-3. Fellow rookie Lucas Velasco (Miami Beach, Fla.) beat Adrian Quiros of Boston University 6-2, 6-2 before falling to Bruno Loch Varella of Siena 7-6 (7-5), 6-4, while classmate Saje Menon (Mineola, N.Y.) was a 6-1, 6-3 winner over Santiago Trujillo of Siena before dropping a 2-6, 6-4, 10-4 decision to Jacob Borch-Nielsen of Stonehill. 

The Beavers dominated their six doubles matches on Sunday as all three of their pairings finished 2-0. Gunawan and sophomore Rishi Batlanki (Monroe Township, N.J.) beat Shabad Singh and Charlie Sternberg of Hamilton in a tiebreaker and Portilla and Bjorn Hedegaard-Friis of Merrmiack 6-2, while Velasco and Menon topped Quiros and David Asenov of Boston University 6-4 and Borch-Nielsen and Rafael Brown of Stonehill 6-3. 

Mendoza and Ziskind also defeated Borch-Nielsen and Brown 6-3 before wrapping up the event with a 6-2 victory over Mars Argun and Mateja Stefanovic of Siena. 

Babson will conclude the fall portion of its schedule at the ITA New England Championships beginning on Friday at 9 a.m. in Middlebury, Vt.
