CAMBRIDGE, Mass.—Junior Mason Nguyen (El Dorado Hills, Calif.) and sophomores Sourish Gadhi (Morganville, N.J.) and Dylan O'Connell-DeCerchio (Santa Monica, Calif.) all went unbeaten on day two of the MIT Invitational on Saturday at the duPont Tennis Courts. 

The Beavers opened the day by going 3-5 in eight singles matches against MIT. Gadhi was a 6-2, 6-4 winner over Kaden Chen, O'Connell-DeCerchio beat Grant Gallagher 6-3, 7-5 and Nguyen rallied for a  2-6, 6-2, 11-9 triumph over SangHyuk Im. The Engineers recorded four victories in straight sets with their lone three-set triumph coming from Adam Sun, who edged Babson junior Sebastian Mendoza (Weston, Fla.), 2-6, 6-0, 10-5. 

The Green and White dominated its second set of singles matches, winning all eight contests against Colby in straight sets. Gadhi, who won by retirement up 6-0, 6-3, and O'Connell (6-0, 6-3) did not drop a game in the opening set, while Mendoza cruised to a 6-2, 6-0 win.

Sophomore Rishi Batlinki (Monroe Township, N.J.) dropped just three games in his 6-2, 6-1 victory, first-year Andre Ziskind (Hilton Head Island, S.C.) was a 6-2, 6-2 winner and classmate Saje Menon (Mineola, N.Y.) registered a 6-2, 6-3 victory. Fellow first-year Lucas Velasco (Miami Beach, Fla.) and Eric Gunawan (Jakarta, Indonesia) also were victorious against the Mules. 

The Beavers wrapped up the day by winning all three doubles matches against Amherst and another against Tufts. Velasco and Menon combined for an 8-4 victory, Batlanki and Gadhi posted an 8-3 result, and Mendoza and junior Louis Bourn (Geneva, Switzerland) were 8-7 (7-5) winners. Nguyen and Gunawan also went to a tiebreaker and defeated Takehiro Shuda and Will Moldenhauer of Tufts, 8-7 (8-6). 

Babson will conclude the three-day tournament on Sunday beginning at 10 a.m.
