BABSON PARK, Mass.—Babson College head women's tennis coach
Emma Hall announced that she is stepping down from her position on Wednesday morning.
Hall, who was hired in December 2023, led the women's tennis program to unprecedented success over three seasons, highlighted by an NCAA singles title, two NCAA doubles championships and the Beavers reaching the semifinals of the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history back in May. She concludes her time at Babson with an overall record of 46-18 (.719), one New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) championship and a pair of trips to the NCAA Tournament.

Taking over in the spring of 2024, Hall led the Beavers to a record of 12-6 and an appearance in the NEWMAC Tournament final before Olivia Soffer '25 and
Matia Cristiani '26 made history by defeating a Claremont-Mudd-Scripps duo to capture the program's first NCAA doubles championship. She helped Soffer and Cristiani secure a second consecutive doubles national title while guiding the Beavers to the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 2025 before leading the program to a historic 2025-26 campaign.
The Green and White went 19-5 under Hall this past season, setting a new single-season record for wins and ascending into the top five in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division III rankings for the first time. The Beavers won their first NEWMAC Tournament championship since 2014 and defeated No. 39 Stevens, 12th-ranked Middlebury and No. 2 Chicago to advance to the national semifinals of the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history.
In addition to the team success, Cristiani won the ITA New England Championships singles championship and the ITA Cup singles title, and capped a perfect 37-0 season by claiming Babson's first NCAA singles title on Memorial Day. First-year
Sandra Sikharulidze advanced to the semifinals of the NCAA singles draw and paired with Cristiani to reach the final of the NCAA doubles championship.
"I can't thank Babson enough for the incredible opportunity I've had over the past two and a half years," commented Hall. "I'm especially grateful to the amazing people I had the privilege of working alongside every day. Their support, passion and friendship made this such a special experience, and I'll always be thankful for the memories we created together."
Leaving this team is incredibly bittersweet because I have so much love for these student-athletes and this program. While it's hard to say goodbye, I'm excited for this next chapter, where I can focus on my son and my family. I'll always be cheering on Babson and will proudly be one of the program's biggest fans."
Hall, who was selected as the 2026 Northeast Regional Coach of the Year, helped her players earn six All-America and 19 all-conference awards over three seasons in charge of the program. She also had three recruiting classes ranked among the top 15 by the Tennis Recruiting Network, which includes enrolling the top-ranked class (4th) in program history last fall.
A national search for Babson's next head women's tennis coach will get underway immediately.
