BABSON PARK, Mass.—Pamela P. and Brian M. Barefoot Associate Vice President for Athletics and Athletics Advancement Mike Lynch announced the hiring of Kathleen Jaeger as the new head women's lacrosse coach on Monday afternoon. 

Jaeger comes to Babson following a successful three-year stint at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, N.J. Originally hired as an assistant coach and offensive coordinator in 2023, she was promoted to associate head coach prior to the 2025-26 campaign. 

During her three seasons in Hoboken, the Ducks went 50-14 while capturing three straight MAC Freedom Tournament championships and making three NCAA Tournament appearances. Stevens won its opening game of the national tournament in both 2024 and 2026 and advanced to the Sweet 16 for the first time in program history in 2025. 

Under Jaeger's tutelage, the Ducks offense ranked among the top 35 in Division III in each of her three seasons and improved their scoring output each year. The 2024 squad, which finished 17-4, ranked 20th in shooting percentage (.506) and 34th in goals per game, while Stevens improved to 22nd in scoring offense (15.68 goals) and ranked 14th in assists per game (8.64) on the way to going 17-5 during its historic 2025 campaign. 

Jaeger helped the Ducks' offense take another step forward in 2026 as they ranked 13th in Division III in scoring offense (15.95 goals), 17th in shooting percentage (.498) and eighth in assists per game (9.14). Over three seasons, Jaeger helped mentor seven Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Americans, 16 IWLCA All-Boardwalk Region honorees and 29 all-conference award recipients.

A three-sport standout from 2015-19 at The College of New Jersey, Jaeger starred for the women's lacrosse and indoor track & field teams in addition to helping the Lions' cross country squad win a conference title as a first-year. On the lacrosse field, Jaeger helped TCNJ capture four consecutive New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) championships and made four NCAA Tournament appearances, which includes advancing to the national semifinals in both 2017 and 2018. 

Jaeger was a two-time All-NJAC and two-time all-region selection in lacrosse in addition to being named NJAC Midfielder of the Year and earning IWLCA All-America second-team honors in 2018 after producing 55 goals and 16 assists for 71 points to go along with 33 ground balls and 18 caused turnovers. She concluded her career with 169 goals, 43 assists, 212 points, 112 ground balls and 49 caused turnovers in 75 career games. 

On the track, Jaeger was a three-time qualifier for the NCAA Indoor Championships and a two-time All-American in the 800 meters. She is a five-time NJAC Champion, which includes winning the 800 meters in each of her four seasons, and helped the Lions secure team conference championships in both 2018 and 2019.

Prior to her time at Stevens, Jaeger served as the head girls lacrosse coach at The Hun School of Princeton from 2020-23 where she led the Raiders to a 10-win campaign in 2021. In addition to her prep school experience, Jaeger has served as a coach with Triple Threat (T3) Elite Lacrosse since 2015 and joined Corrigan Sports as a New Jersey All-America Coach in 2022.

A native of Whitehouse Station, N.J., Jaeger earned her B.S. in elementary education and iSTEM in 2019 and her master's degree in special education from TCNJ in 2020.
