Jake Munick was hired as the Associate Athletics Director for Internal Operations at Babson College in September 2019.
Munick comes to Babson from Dartmouth College, where he had most recently been promoted to an associate athletics director position in April 2018 after five years as an assistant athletics director. In addition to serving as the senior compliance administrator for the Big Green, he was responsible for overseeing the athletics equipment room and managing the department’s equipment contract with Nike.
Originally hired as an assistant athletics director at Dartmouth in the spring of 2013, Munick became the department’s senior compliance administrator prior to the 2013-14 academic year. Over the last five years, he was responsible for creating and maintaining efficient monitoring practices, developing a robust rules education program, compiling and submitting NCAA annual reports, and overseeing the eligibility process of student-athletes. Additionally, Munick served as the on-site administrator for home contests for a number of different programs, including football, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, and the 2018 Ivy League Indoor Track & Field Championships.
Munick, who was a recipient of the 2018 National Association for Athletics Compliance (NAAC) Rising Star Award, is a 2011 graduate of Widener University. He was a four-year member of the men’s track & field squad and earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration.
Munick got his start in athletics administration at Temple University, serving as a graduate assistant for compliance and student services for two years beginning in August 2011. While at Temple, he earned his master’s degree in sport and recreation management.
