Women's Lacrosse's Laden Earns USA Lacrosse Magazine All-America Honorable Mention

BABSON PARK, Mass.—Babson College sophomore Courtney Laden (Wilmette, Ill.) added to her postseason awards haul with USA Lacrosse Magazine All-America honorable mention honors earlier this week.

An All-New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) first-team selection, Laden had a terrific debut campaign for the Beavers finishing third on the team in scoring with 34 goals and 35 points while leading the squad with 62 draw controls and 24 caused turnovers in 18 starts. She also tied for second with 26 ground balls and collected two or more nine times during the season.

Laden, who finished with at least two caused turnovers in eight games including four straight to begin the season, flourished on offense late in the year producing multiple goals in eight of Babson's final 10 outings. She scored four times in an April 4 loss at Springfield and back-to-back wins over Mount Holyoke and Wheaton to end the regular season before erupting for a career-high six goals in the Beavers' 14-7 victory over Smith in the NEWMAC Tournament quarterfinals on April 25.

Laden also became the first Babson player to finish with at least 30 goals, 30 draw controls and 20 caused turnovers since Claudia Dodge '23 back in 2023.

Babson concluded its season at 11-7 after falling to No. 24/15 MIT in the NEWMAC semifinals back on April 29.
