MARLBOROUGH, Mass.— For the third time this season, Babson College sophomore Edward Wang (Burr Ridge, Ill./Phillips Academy Andover) was recognized by the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) with the selection of the Men's Tennis Singles Player of the Week on Monday.
 
Wang went 2-0 to help the Beavers finish off the regular season with a pair of wins over nationally-ranked foes. He defeated Adam Sun of No. 26 MIT 6-2, 6-4 at number two singles in Tuesday's 5-2 victory and then rallied for a 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 (8-6) triumph over Daniel Shemesh at number one as the Beavers came from behind to defeat No. 19 Brandeis 5-2 on Thursday.
 
The 2025 NEWMAC Rookie of the Year and an all-conference selection in both singles and doubles, Wang has registered a 14-6 record in singles this year, including 5-0 at number one and 6-4 at number two. He was also recognized by the NEWMAC on February 23 and April 6.
 
The regular season champion Beavers (16-4, 7-0 NEWMAC) will host a NEWMAC Tournament semifinal against either Clark of Emerson on Friday at 2 p.m. at the Babson Tennis Courts.
