MARLBOROUGH, Mass.— After setting a pair of men's track and field program records, Babson College graduate student
Skyler Mott (Mills Neck, N.Y.) was named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Men's Field Athlete of the Week on Monday.
A grad transfer from Lehigh, Mott recorded two of the top marks in the country in the high jump and triple jump at the season-opening Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational back on March 20. Mott's mark in the high jump broke the previous school record of 6-feet, 3.25-inches set by Sean Rezendes '18 back in 2018, and leap in the triple jump shattered the record of 45-feet, 2.25-inches set by Cezary Bialon '15 more than a decade ago.
Mott is a former four-year standout at Lehigh, where he achieved career-high marks of 2.10 meters (6-feet, 9 inches) in the high jump and 13.83 meters (45-feet) in the triple jump.
The Beavers will be back in action on Saturday at the Coast Guard Invitational in New London, Conn.
