QUEENSBURY, N.Y.—First-year
Quinn Dennehy (Mendon, Vt.) came in fifth and five of the Babson College women's ski team's six competitors placed among the top 19 in Sunday afternoon's giant slalom at West Mountain.
The Beavers came in third as a team for the fourth consecutive race, finishing 0.93 seconds ahead of fourth-place UConn. Castleton took first and Clarkson was the runner-up coming in just over nine seconds behind the Spartans.
Dennehy registered the fourth fastest second-run time amongst MacConnell Division competitors to post her fifth top-five result of the winter with a time of 2:20.84. Junior
Sonnie Travis (Park City, Utah) recorded her fifth top-10 of the season coming in eighth overall with a time of 2:23.19.
Sophomore
Camryn Knowlton (Montreal, Quebec) placed 14th in a time of 2:27.09, which was 0.47 seconds ahead of junior
Ava Butler (Goshen, Conn.), who finished 15th. Fellow junior
Riley Jerome (Bethel, Maine) came in 19th with a two-run time of 2:30.48.
Babson will conclude its MacConnell Division regular season schedule next weekend in New Hampshire as it travels to Pat's Peak on Saturday and Waterville Valley on Sunday.
