WILMINGTON, N.Y.—Junior
Sonnie Travis (Park City, Utah) recorded her top finish of the season by placing fifth to help the Babson College women's alpine ski team finish third in the giant slalom at Whiteface Mountain on Sunday afternoon.
Castleton posted its fifth victory of the season by finishing five seconds ahead of second-place Clarkson. The Beavers came in 4.13 seconds behind the Golden Knights to take third, while UConn finished a distant fourth.
Travis led a group of four Babson competitors that were separated by just over five seconds with her time of 2:22.00, which was good for fifth place. First-year
Quinn Dennehy (Mendon, Vt.) came in eighth in a time of 2:24.35, sophomore
Camryn Knowlton (Montreal, Quebec) placed 10th in a time of 2:26.38 and sophomore
Ava Butler (Goshen, Conn.) finished just 0.64 seconds behind her in 11th position.

Riley Jerome (Bethel, Maine) finished her two runs in a time of 1:44.14 to come in 17th overall.
The Beavers are back in action next Saturday and Sunday when they travel to West Mountain in Queensbury, N.Y., for a pair of giant slalom races.
