2026 D3baseball.com Preseason All-America Team
BABSON PARK, Mass.—Babson College senior
Zander Teator (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) was named to the D3baseball.com Preseason All-America second team on Friday.
Teator becomes only the second player in program history and first since Ryan Arena '18 in 2018 to garner preseason All-America honors since D3baseball.com started recognizing a team back in 2008. Arena, who was a first-team selection prior to the 2018 campaign, went on to earn D3baseball.com All-America third-team laurels as the Beavers came up one win short of reaching the College World Series.
Teator is coming off a terrific 2025 season that saw him lead the Babson offense while continuing his dominance out of the bullpen. He batted .386 with 11 doubles, four home runs and a team-best 34 runs batted in over 23 starts, while recording six saves to go along with a 2.16 earned run average in 15 relief appearances.
An American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and D3baseball.com all-region second-team selection, Teator led the Green and White with 11 multi-RBI games and tied for third on the team with 11 multi-hit games. He scored 29 runs and led the team in batting average, OPS (1.142), slugging percentage (.670) and on-base percentage (.472).
On the mound, Teator struck out 14, had a 1.08 WHIP and held opposing hitters to a .200 average over 16.2 innings of work. He allowed just one earned run over his final nine appearances of the year and was named to the All-New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) first team for his success.
In two seasons as Babson's closer, Teator is 4-1 with 12 saves and a 2.39 ERA in 31 appearances. He has 40 strikeouts against just 10 walks in 37.2 innings and has held opposing hitters to a .167 average to go along with a 0.88 WHIP.
The Beavers get the 2026 campaign underway on February 27 when they begin a three-game series at Trinity in San Antonio, Texas.
