WHAT TO KNOW
• The Babson men's and women's alpine ski teams will trave to Proctor Ski Area for the second MacConnell Division carnival of the season.
• The Beavers and their league rivals will compete in slalom races on both Friday and Saturday.
LAST TIME AT PROCTOR
• The Babson men recorded back-to-back first-place finishes in the slalom, while the Beavers followed up a runner-up showing on day one with their first victory of the season on January 17-18, 2025.

Mads Fondevik Syversen finished atop the podium in both men's races, sophomore
James Rosenbloom recorded a pair of podium finishes by placing third on day one and second on day two, and senior
Elliot Perretta followed up a fourth-place result to open the weekend by placing third on day two.

Julia Wiacek was the runner-up for the Babson women in the opening slalom race of the weekend, while sophomore
Camryn Knowlton (2nd),
Amelie Alkier '25 (4th) and
Alli Messier '25 (5th) posted top-five results to lead the team to a win on day two.
ABOUT THE BABSON WOMEN
• The Beavers opened the 2026 campaign by finishing second in the slalom and first in the giant slalom on Monday and Tuesday at Sunday River.
• First-year
Quinn Dennehy came in second in the slalom, while Wiacek (7th) and Travis (9th) both posted top-10 finishes.
• Wiacek finished as the runner-up in the giant slalom, Dennehy placed fourth, Travis finished ninth and Knowlton was a spot behind her in 10th position.
• Knowlton, Wiacek, Travis and junior
Ava Butler were four of six Babson competitors to earn All-MacConnell Division accolades, while junior
Riley Jerome narrowly missed making the all-league team.
ABOUT THE BABSON MEN
• The Beavers continued their MacConnell dominance by winning both the slalom and giant slalom at Sunday River on Monday and Tuesday.
• Perretta led four top-10 finishers with a runner-up showing in the slalom and also came in second in the GS behind first-year teammate
Niko Leunig.
• Rosenbloom finished fourth in the giant slalom and seventh in the slalom, sophomore
Connor Roy took fifth in the slalom and first-years
Asher Baron and
Ben Hostetter placed sixth in the GS and eighth in the slalom, respectively.
• Syversen, Perretta and Rosenbloom finished second through fourth in last year's MacConnell Division standings, and Roy joined them in earning all-league honors by placing eighth overall.
LOOKING BACK ON 2025
• In his first season as head coach at Babson,
Brett Batchelder led both the men's and women's squads tremendous success in 2025.
• The men won all 10 MacConnell Division races to capture their first division title since 1993, claimed their third USCSA Eastern Regional title since 2022 and then finished a program-best second in the USCSA National Championships, which was highlighted by Syversen winning the Beavers' first national title in the slalom.
• On the women's side, the Beavers came in second in the MacConnell Division, posted a seventh consecutive top-two showing at the regional championships and then placed third for the third time in four seasons at nationals.
STREAKING BEAVERS
• The Babson men have won 12 consecutive MacConnell Division races going back to the start of the 2025 campaign and have finished either first or second in 21 straight races dating back to January 13, 2024.
• The Babson women have won four of their last five league races and have placed either first or second in 20 of the last 22 MacConnell Division competitions dating back to the start of 2024.
PAST SUCCESS AT PROCTOR
• Wiacek boasts three top-four finishes, Butler owns a pair of top-10 results and four top-16 finishes in four career races, and Jerome has placed among the top 15 three times in four starts at Proctor Ski Area over the last two seasons.

Sebastian Sheppard came in 12th and 17th in last year's slalom races, and placed seventh in the second of two competitions at Proctor Ski Area back in 2024.
TRADITION OF SUCCESS
• The Babson women have posted nine consecutive top-three finishes in the MacConell Division regular standings and at the USCSA regional championships, and have finished no worse than fifth at nationals going back to 2016.
• The Babson men own 12 straight top-three results in league competition and eight consecutive top-three finishes at regionals. They have also finished sixth or better in four of their last eight trips to nationals.
UP NEXT
• The Beavers head to Lake Placid, N.Y., to take part in the giant slalom at Whiteface Mountain on January 24-25.
