BABSON PARK, Mass.— With two New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) championships in the last three years, Babson College head men's basketball coach
Stephen Brennan officially unveiled his program's 2025-26 schedule on Thursday afternoon.
The Beavers will face a challenging 16-game NEWMAC slate and will take the court in six games against teams that competed in the 2025 NCAA Tournament, including defending Division III national champion Trinity. Another highlight to the schedule includes a trip to Baltimore to go up against Johns Hopkins on New Year's Eve.
Babson will open the season at home against local rival Brandeis on November 8 at Staake Gymnasium. The Green and White will travel to Albertus Magnus on November 11 before hosting 2025 NCAA Tournament team Tufts on November 14. After back-to-back road games at Lasell on November 18 and UMass Dartmouth on November 21, the Beavers will host a pair of games during Thanksgiving week, Wentworth on November 25 and Saint Joseph (Conn.) on November 30.
The first NEWMAC game of the season is at defending regular season champion and tournament runner-up WPI on December 3. That sets the stage for a visit to defending national champion Trinity on December 6. After a break for final exams and the holidays, the Beavers will play at Johns Hopkins on December 31 in the final non-conference contest to close out 2025.
NEWMAC play resumes in January with the Beavers hosting defending champion Clark on January 7, followed by consecutive road games at Coast Guard on the 10th and Springfield on the 13th. Then it's back-to-back home games vs. Wheaton on January 15 and Emerson on January 17, a road tilt at MIT on January 20, and a home meeting vs. Salve Regina on January 22 to wind up the first half of the conference slate.
The second half of the NEWMAC schedule starts with WPI at home (January 24), a trip to Clark (January 31), and home games vs. Coast Guard (February 4) and Springfield (February 7). Three of the last four outings are on the road for the Beavers, at Emerson (February 11), Wheaton (February 14) and Salve Regina (February 21), with the final home game vs MIT sandwiched in on February 18.
The six-team NEWMAC Tournament begins on February 24 with quarterfinal action. The top two seeds will host semifinal contests on February 26 with the winners advancing the championship game at the highest remaining seed on February 28. The NEWMAC champion receives an automatic berth into the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament.
