BABSON PARK, Mass.—Babson College senior Nate Amado (Hanson, Mass.) added to his postseason awards haul earning National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) District II and D3hoops.com Region II honors on Tuesday. 

Amado was named to the NABC District II first team and landed on the D3hoops.com Region II second team for the first time in his career. He garnered All-New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) laurels for the second year in a row earlier this month. 

Amado averaged 18.6 points and career highs of 8.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.5 steals to go along with 1.1 blocks in 26 starts. He ranked 11th in the region in scoring, eighth in rebounding, 11th in blocked shots and was 17th shooting a career-best 51.4 percent from the field.  

Amado scored in double figures 24 times in 26 games, which includes scoring at least 20 points in 12 outings, and set a new career high with eight double-doubles, which ranked second in the NEWMAC and ninth in the region. 

One of just five players in program history to surpass 1,500 points and 650 rebounds, Amado ranks second in program history in blocked shots (92), seventh in scoring (1,521 points) and made field goals (580) and ninth with 664 rebounds. Additionally, he joins Steph Baxter M'24 and Colin Bradanese '22 as the only Babson players to be named to both the NABC All-District and D3hoops.com All-Region squads in the same season since 2017. 

In addition to his individual accolades, Amado helped the Beavers win back-to-back NEWMAC championships in 2023 and 2024 and reach the NCAA Tournament in three consecutive seasons from 2022-24. 

Babson concluded its season at 16-10 after falling to Coast Guard in the NEWMAC Tournament quarterfinals back on February 25.
