Women’s Basketball Announces 2025-26 Schedule

BABSON PARK, Mass.— After finishing runner-up in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) regular season race and hosting a first-round conference tournament game last March, Babson College third-year head women's basketball coach Kate Barnosky officially released her team's 2025-26 schedule on Thursday afternoon.

The Beavers will face a challenging schedule this winter, taking on three teams that competed in last year's NCAA Tournament, including defending national runner-up Smith. Highlights to the ledger include a Thanksgiving weekend trip to California to take on Pomona-Pitzer and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, and hosting Hartford and UC Santa Barbara in the annual Judy Pearson '85 Memorial Tournament at Staake Gymnasium on December 29-30.

The Green and White tip off the campaign with three straight road games at Conference of New England (CNE) opponents Roger Williams on November 7, Curry on November 10, and Endicott on November 14. The first home game is against NCAA Tournament foe Tufts on November 18, followed by two more home encounters against Albertus Magnus on November 22 and local rival Brandeis on November 24.

Babson heads to California to take part in the David Wells Classic in Claremont, taking on Pomona-Pitzer on November 28 and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on November 29. The first semester action winds up with a visit to defending Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) champion Bridgewater State on December 6.

After a break for final exams and the holidays, Babson is back on the court for the Judy Pearson '85 Tournament, hosting Hartford on December 29 and UC Santa Barbara on December 30. The final three non-conference games are slated for the first two weeks of the new year when the Beavers travel to Connecticut College on January 3 and Norwich on January 7 before hosting Trinity on January 12 at Staake Gymnasium.

The NEWMAC slate opens at home against Springfield on January 17, followed by visits to Coast Guard on January 21 and defending runner-up MIT on January 24. The month of January wraps up with home games against WPI on the 28th and Mount Holyoke on the 31st.

After a visit to Emerson to begin the month of February, the Beavers return home to host back-to-back meetings vs. local rival Wellesley on the 7th and Salve Regina on the 11th. The regular season wraps up with a trip to Clark on February 14, the last home game against defending champion Smith on February 18, and a road trip to Wheaton on February 21.

The eight-team NEWMAC Tournament begins on February 25 with quarterfinal action. The top two remaining seeds will host semifinal contests on February 27 with the winners advancing the championship game at the highest seed on March 1. The NEWMAC champion receives an automatic berth into the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament.
