Mollica Earns D3hoops.com Region II Recognition

BABSON PARK, Mass.—Babson College senior Katelyn Mollica (Foxborough, Mass.) was named to the D3hoops.com Region II third team on Tuesday.

A first-team All-New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) selection earlier this month, Mollica was named to the D3hops.com Region II squad for the first time in her career. She averaged a career-high 15.0 points while shooting a career-best 43.3 percent from beyond the arc to go along with 1.9 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 26 starts.

Mollica scored in double figures 21 times and set new single-season program records and ranked second in Division III in three-point field goals (94) and three-pointers per game (3.62) in addition to ranking 11th nationally in three-point field goal percentage.

A three-year starter for the Beavers, Mollica averaged 12.0 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 86 career games. She leaves Babson as the all-time leader in three-pointers (215), three-pointers per game (2.5) and three-point field goal percentage (41.1), and ranks 18th on the career scoring list with 1,035 points.

In addition to her individual success, Mollica helped the Beavers advance to the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals in 2023 and the NEWMAC Tournament final in both 2023 and 2024.

Babson, which won its final seven regular season games, ended the year at 16-10 after falling to WPI in the NEWMAC Tournament quarterfinals.
