PINEHURST, N.C.—Sophomore Evan Eichenlaub (Bethlehem, Pa.) fired a 3-under 69 and is tied for third as the Babson College men's golf team sits in third place after the opening round of the Tiger Invitational at Forest Creek Golf Club on Sunday afternoon.

Junior Colin Fowler (Portland, Ore.) grabbed a share of 24th position after round one with a 2-over 74 in his season debut. He birdied two of his first four holes and another on the par-5 18th following three bogeys to get back to even through nine before giving back a pair of shots to par over his final nine holes.

First-year Aman Vantipalli (Alpharetta, Ga.) is tied for 50th place at 4-over after carding a 76 on Sunday. He finished the day with two birdies and six bogeys, three of which came over his first seven holes.
