WHAT TO KNOW
•   The Babson men's and women's alpine ski teams and the top programs from around the country are set to compete in the USCSA National Championships at Mount Bachelor in Bend, Ore., beginning on Tuesday.Â
•   The national championships return to Mount Bachelor for the first time since 2017.Â
•   The Babson men are making their 17th consecutive appearance at nationals, while the Babson women have qualified nine straight times.Â

2024 USCSA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS HIGHLIGHTS
•   Sophomore
 Julia Wiacek recorded top-10 finishes in both the giant slalom and slalom to help the Babson women matched the top finish in program history by coming in third last March at Whiteface Mountain.Â
•   Wiacek finished eighth in the GS to help the Beavers place fourth and added a seventh-place result in the slalom to lead the team to a runner-up finish.Â
•   Wiacek,
Caroline Haaijer '24 (12th) and sophomoreÂ
Sonnie Travis (13th) all earned All-America honors in the slalom, and Wiacek (5th) and sophomoreÂ
Ava Butler (14th) were named All-Americans in the combined standings.Â

Finn Horsley claimed All-America accolades in the slalom for the Babson men, which finished 24th overall.Â
ABOUT THE BABSON MEN
•   The Beavers finished second the giant slalom and first in the slalom on the way to capturing their second consecutive USCSA Eastern Regional Championships crown at Sugarloaf back on February 16.Â
•   JuniorÂ
Elliot Perretta came in third in the GS, ninth in the slalom and fourth in the combined standings, first-yearÂ
James Rosenbloom placed fourth in the slalom and fellow rookieÂ
Connor Roy finished seventh in both the slalom and combined standings for the Green and White.Â
•   SophomoreÂ
Mads Fondevik Syversen, who did not compete at regionals, finished atop the podium five times on the way to placing second in the MacConnell Division regular season standings, Perretta added two wins and four podium finishes on the way to placing third, and Rosenbloom came in fourth thanks to eight podium finishes in 10 races.Â
•   Roy, who recorded seven top-10 results en route of placing eighth in the league standings, and fellow first-yearÂ
Moksh Patel (15th) also received All-MacConnell Division honors.Â
ABOUT THE BABSON WOMEN
•   The Beavers followed up a second-place showing in the GS with a fifth-place finish in the slalom to tie for second place in the combined standings at the USCSA Eastern Regional Championships at Sugarloaf back on February 15-16.Â
•   Travis finished fourth in the giant slalom, fifth in the slalom and fourth overall, while first-yearÂ
Camryn Knowlton took sixth in the GS and 12th in the slalom on the way to coming in ninth in the combined standings for the Green and White.Â
•   SeniorÂ
Amelie Alkier recorded three top-five results on the way to finishing fifth in the MacConnell Division regular season standings, Knowlton (6th) posted eight top-10 finishes and Wiacek (7th) recorded three podium finishes.Â
•   Travis, who boasts five consecutive top-seven finishes, came in eighth in the division standings, while seniorÂ
Alli Messier (11th) and Butler (14th) combined for seven top-10 results on the way to earning all-league accolades.Â
HISTORY LESSON
•   The Babson women have recorded seven consecutive top-five finishes at nationals, which includes placing third in both 2022 and 2024, finishing fourth three times (2016, 2018, 2020) and tying for fourth place in 2019.
•   The Babson men recorded 10 consecutive top-10 finishes at nationals from 2012-22, which includes coming in a program-best third in both 2013 and 2022, and winning the slalom to earn a four-way tie for first before ultimately finishing fourth at Whiteface in 2018.Â
SUCCESS AT MOUNT BACHELOR
•   The Babson men tied for sixth place in 2015 and came in sixth in the 2017 USCSA National Championships held at Mount Bachelor.Â
•   The Babson women tied for fifth place in 2017 after Tatum Alkier '18 earned All-America honors as an individual for the Babson women in 2015.Â
WELCOME BACK
•   After missing the entire regular season while returning from injury, seniorÂ
Zach Carpenter made his 2025 debut at regionals for the Babson men.Â
•   He came in eighth in the giant slalom and 29th in the slalom on the way to placing 21st in the combined standings.Â
TEAMS TO WATCH
•   Sierra Nevada (6), which no longer competes in the USCSA, and Rocky Mountain (5) have combined for 11 men's titles going back to 2011 and finished 1-2 in the standings each season from 2014-22.
•   The Castleton men captured their first national title last March at Whiteface, while Clarkson came in third behind Rocky Mountain.Â
•   On the women's side, Rocky Mountain (2017, 2018, 2014) and Sierra Nevada (2019, 2020, 2022) have claimed all six national championships going back to 2017.Â
•   Northern Michigan followed up a tie for sixth in 2022 by finishing as the runner-up last year at Whiteface.Â
