Gabe Cushner recorded two hits apiece for the Beavers, who scored four times in the eighth and loaded the bases with no outs in the ninth but were unable to push across the tying run.
• Cushner is batting .424 with three doubles, two RBI and five runs scored, Liss is hitting .370 with three homers, five doubles and 16 runs batted in, and Hvozdovic checks in at .324 with one home run, three doubles, seven RBI and 12 runs scored.

SCOUTING THE LIONS
• Emerson (6-8, 0-1 NEWMAC) snapped a five-game losing streak with a 16-12 win over Rivier on Thursday afternoon.
• Jordi Arboleda went 3-for-6 with a pair of stolen bases and four runs batted in, Ethan Chanthompalit was 2-for-3 with a homer, three RBI and four runs scored, and Briggs Loveland and Braden O'Connell added solo homers for the Lions, who pounded out 17 hits and put the game away with a five-run seventh inning.
• Charlie Coors is batting .485 with three doubles, nine RBI and six runs scored, Nicholas Favazzo is hitting .344 with four doubles, 13 stolen bases and 14 runs scored, and Loveland enters the day with a .280 average to go along with three homers, a double, a triple, 14 RBI and nine runs scored.
• Aidan Rice is 2-2 with a 4.84 ERA and 19 strikeouts over 22.1 innings in five starts, Ezra Charles (2-3, 7.13 ERA) has recorded 19 strikeouts in 17.2 innings and Tyler Metcalf (0-0) has a 4.73 earned run average in seven appearances out of the bullpen.
RUN PRODUCTION
• Over his last five starts going back to a 9-8 win over Scranton on March 18, Liss owns a five-game hitting streak and has two homers, two doubles and 13 runs batted in.

Walter Sadowsky is riding a seven-game hitting streak and has driven in nine runs during this stretch, while Savage has homered twice while knocking in seven runs over the last four contests.
• Despite just 15 at-bats on the year, Teator is batting .400 and is tied for the team lead with three home runs to go along with eight RBI.

Chase Burrows is 2-0 with a 0.56 ERA and a 0.69 WHIP in three appearances out of the bullpen, which includes tossing 5.0 scoreless innings to pick up the win in the Beavers' 13-3 victory over Suffolk on Wednesday.

Connor Doan (1-0) has not allowed an earned run in 4.1 innings out of the bullpen this spring.

Bobby Burk made his collegiate debut on Thursday at Roger Williams recording three strikeouts while not allowing a hit in 2.0 shutout innings of work.
STREAKING BEAVERS
• Cushner and Hvozdovic have both reached base safely in 10 straight games, while Santos and Sadowsky enter Friday's doubleheader riding eight-game on-base streaks
