Nate Amado poured in 31 points to go along with 10 rebounds and three blocked shots to lead the Beavers to a 70-53 win over Springfield on January 14 in Babson Park.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (13-8, 7-5 NEWMAC) snapped a two-game losing streak with an 82-70 win over MIT on Wednesday night.

Alex Stoddard added 17 points for the Beavers, who used a 25-7 run midway through the second half to pull away.
• Amado (19.5 pts, 8.0 reb, 2.7 ast, 1.7 stl) ranks first in the conference in scoring and second in rebounding while shooting 51.8 percent from the floor, Kloman (18.8 pts, 3.9 reb, 2.3 ast) is second in the league in scoring, Stoddard is averaging 10.9 points and 3.1 rebounds, and first-year
Timmy Mulvey (10.0 pts, 2.6 ast) is tied for second in the NEWMAC with 50 three-point field goals.
• The Green and White is committing just 10.2 turnovers in conference play and ranks second in scoring offense (76.6 points) and third in field goal percentage (44.6).
SCOUTING THE PRIDE
• Springfield (8-12, 5-6 NEWMAC) had its two-game winning streak snapped falling 69-62 at Salve Regina on Wednesday night.
• Hunter Matteson scored 12 points on 6-of-6 shooting and John Paulino added nine points and six assists for the Pride, which went just 3-of-19 (15.8 percent) from three-point range and trailed by as many as 15 with under six minutes to play in the game.
• Flynn (12.9 pts, 4.2 reb, 1.8 stl) is shooting 60.5 percent from the floor over the last four games, Livingston (10.7 pts, 3.0 reb) leads the team with 20 three-pointers but is just 3-of-24 (12.5 percent) from beyond the arc over his last seven outings, and Josiah Evely is averaging 8.5 points and 4.0 rebounds while shooting 45.6 percent.
• Springfield ranks eighth in the NEWMAC in scoring (69.0 points) and has made just 43 three-pointers in 11 conference games.
LIFE ON THE ROAD
• Outside of its 103-68 rout of MIT back on January 11, the Beavers other five NEWMAC road games have been decided by a total of just 16 points this winter.
• In addition to a 74-72 win at Coast Guard on January 23, Babson has suffered losses to Emerson (64-62) on December 4, Clark (79-75) on January 8, Wheaton (73-71) on January 16 and then-No. 18 WPI (71-65) on January 29.
• Going back to January 27 of last year, the Green and White is 6-6 versus conference foes on the road with four wins of at least nine points and five losses by six points or less.
MOVIN' ON UP
• One of just five players in Babson history with at least 1,400 points and 600 rebounds, Amado ranks 10th all-time in scoring (1,447 points), ninth with 618 rebounds and also is second with 86 career blocked shots.
• He also moved into seventh place on Wednesday night with 555 made field goals and is now 17th in Babson history with 235 made free throws.
THREE AT A TIME
• For the first time since 2015-16, Babson has three players with at least 40 three-point field goals this season in Mulvey (50), Stoddard (44) and Kloman (42).
• All three players rank among the top eight in the NEWMAC in three-pointers and have combined to shoot 38 percent on the year.
• Back in 2015-16 the trio of Nick Comenale '18,
Joey Flannery '17 and Sam Bohmiller '17 combined to make 147 three-pointers.
