MARLBOROUGH, Mass.—Four Babson College student-athletes were recognized when the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) announced its Sportsmanship Teams for the 2025-26 winter season on Wednesday.
The award recognizes one student-athlete from each institution in every sport that best demonstrates the ideals of the NEWMAC and its Code of Conduct, regardless of his/her overall performance or statistics for the season.
Men's Basketball
Jojo Chalumeau| Sr. | Hyde Park, Mass.
Chalumeau appeared in 13 games with one start this season for the Beavers, getting a starting nod in a game against Springfield on February 7. He scored points in contests against Wentworth, MIT, Springfield and Salve Regina, finishing with totals of seven points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals. He made 3-of-7 shots for a 42.9 shooting percentage. He finished his four-year career with 48 games played and 79 points, including nine 3-point baskets, 18 rebounds, 16 assists, and eight steals.
Women's Basketball
Chloe Perreault| Sr. | Danbury, Conn.
Perreault was one of two players to start all 27 games this season for the Beavers and registered 7.7 points and 6.2 rebounds per game to finish third on the team in scoring and second in rebounds. She shot 37.0 percent from the field and 31.2 percent from 3-point range, knocking down 39 3-pointers on the season. A four-year veteran, she finished her career with 51 starts in 107 games, scoring 612 points and grabbing 484 rebounds while making 72 3-point baskets, 13th-most in program history.
Men's Swimming and Diving
Dom Crisafulli| So. | Natick, Mass.
Crisafulli competed in freestyle and backstroke events for the Beavers. He recorded season-best times of 22.56 seconds in the 50-yard free and 1:47.70 in the 200-yard free at the Fisher Invitational at Wheaton in November. His time of 53.21 in the 100 back and his 1:58.06 in the 200 back at the NEWMAC Championships were both the third-fastest on the team this winter, and his times of 24.80 in the 50 back, 58.52 in the 100 IM and 1:57.06 in the 200 IM were the fourth-fastest on the team.
Women's Swimming and Diving
Samantha Gilbert | So. | Arlington, Va.
Gilbert was a strong contributor for the Beavers in freestyle, breaststroke and individual medley events this season. She swam on a pair of Babson relay teams (200 free, 400 free) that produced podium results with second-place finishes at the NEWMAC Championships, the first All-Conference relay teams in program history. She was also a part of three relay teams (200 free, 400 free, 200 medley) that set program records, and her time of 1:57.70 in the 200 free ranks third on the program list of all-time top performers in the 200 free.
