MARLBOROUGH, Mass.— Sophomore
Gavin Aydelotte (Jensen Beach, Fla.) represented the Babson College men's basketball team for his work in the classroom when the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) announced its Academic All-Conference team on Friday.
Honorees for the All-Academic team must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale after the 2025 fall semester, achieved second-year academic status, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.
A Business major, Aydelotte appeared in 10 games at forward for the Beavers after transferring from Lincoln Memorial University. He averaged 3.8 points and 1.0 rebounds in 9.7 minutes per game, shooting 43.2 percent from the field and recording three assists, one steal and two blocked shots. He scored 11 points in a win over Albertus Magnus and nine points in a victory over Brandeis in November but suffered an injury in late December and missed the remainder of the season.
Babson finished the season with a 22-7 record this winter on the way to capturing its third NEWMAC Championship in the last four years and advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
