CARRABASSETT VALLEY, Maine—The Babson College women's alpine ski team came in fifth in the slalom and finished in a three-way tie for second place in the combined standings at the United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association (USCSA) Eastern Regional Championships on Sunday afternoon at Sugarloaf Mountain.
Following Saturday's runner-up showing in the giant slalom, the Beavers came in fifth behind Castleton, Maine-Farmington, UConn and Northeastern in Sunday's slalom, which was shortened to just one run because of dangerous course conditions. Castleton repeated as regional champions, while Babson, Maine-Farmington and Northeastern all secured their spot at the USCSA National Championships by tying for second place.
