SERIES HISTORY

•    Babson is 13-4 all-time against Salve Regina in a series that dates back to the 1982-83 campaign.
•    The Beavers have won nine of the last 11 games between the teams but have dropped two straight to the Seahawks in Newport.
•    In three games since Salve Regina joined the NEWMAC prior to last season, the home team has won every matchup by at least 14 points.

LAST MEETING
•    Graduate student Alex Stoddard went 7-of-9 from three-point range on the way to scoring 23 points as the Beavers cruised past Salve Regina, 84-66, on January 21 in Babson Park.
•    First-years Timmy Mulvey and Vaughn Foster both scored 17 points and senior Nate Amado added 12 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and three steals for Babson, which shot 54.4 percent from the floor and led by as many as 18 early in the second half.
•    Brad Fowler scored 17 points on 7-of-12 shooting and Will Parisi chipped in with 10 points for the Seahawks, which shot 47.3 percent overall but was just 5-of-15 from behind the arc.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
•    Babson (14-9, 8-6 NEWMAC) clinched a conference tournament berth with a hard-fought 70-65 win over Wheaton on Wednesday night.
•    Amado (19.2 pts, 8.3 reb, 2.8 reb) ranks first in the NEWMAC in scoring and second in rebounding while shooting 50.2 percent from the floor, graduate student Felix Kloman (17.8 pts, 3.8 reb, 2.4 ast) is second in the conference in scoring and Stoddard (11.0 pts, 3.3 reb) is second on the team and seventh in the league with 49 three-point field goals.
•    The Green and White ranks second in conference play in scoring offense averaging 74.4 points but is allowing 1.03 points per possession on 45.9 percent shooting versus league foes.

SCOUTING THE SEAHAWKS
•    Salve Regina (9-13, 6-7 NEWMAC) has won back-to-back games and is coming off an 81-67 victory at Wheaton last Saturday.
•    Sean Seymour poured in a career-high 35 points on 13-of-18 shooting and Fowler added 13 points, six rebounds and three blocks to pace four players in double figures for the Seahawks, who shot 46.2 percent and led by as many as 15 points in the first half versus the Lyons.
•    Seymour (16.1 pts, 4.4 reb, 2.6 ast, 1.8 stl) ranks fourth in the NEWMAC in scoring and is shooting 52.1 percent, good for the third in the conference,  Jojo Powers (13.1 ps, 4.6 reb, 3.1 ast) is just 5-of-24 shooting (20.8 percent) over the last four games and Declan Walmsley (12.4 pts, 4.0 reb, 2.2 ast) has scored in double figures in four of the last five games and is first on the team with 42 three-pointers.
•    Salve Regina ranks second in rebounding margin (4.0) and third scoring defense (70.1 points) but is ninth in league play averaging  68.6 points per game.

PLAYOFF PUSH
•    With Wednesday's victory over Wheaton, Babson became the third team to clinch a spot in the upcoming NEWMAC Tournament alongside WPI and Clark.
•    The Beavers (8-6) are currently third a half-game ahead of fourth-place Springfield (7-6), while Salve Regina (6-7) sits fifth.
•    The Green and White can secure home court for the quarterfinal round with a win on Saturday and can finish third by beating the Seahawks and Coast Guard to end the regular season.

BUCKETS OFF THE BENCH
•    While Stoddard and Amado combined for 12 points over the final four minutes of Wednesday's victory, the trio of junior Timmy O'Toole and first-years Ryan Frauenheim and Logan Murphy helped the Beavers rally from a 10-point second-half deficit.
•    The trio combined to score 14 consecutive points over a stretch of nearly five minutes to help Babson turn a 40-30 deficit into a 50-49 lead with less than nine minutes to play.
•    Murphy, who played a season-high 24 minutes, scored seven points, Frauenheim contributed six points, three assists and two steals, and O'Toole finished with six points, three boards and two steals in 17 minutes while coming off the bench for the first time this winter.

THREE AT A TIME
•    For the first time since 2015-16, Babson has three players with at least 40 three-point field goals this season in Mulvey (50), Stoddard (49) and Kloman (46).
•    All three players rank among the top eight in the NEWMAC in three-pointers and have combined to shoot 37.3 percent on the year.
•    Back in 2015-16 the trio of Nick Comenale '18, Joey Flannery '17 and Sam Bohmiller '17 combined to make 147 three-pointers.

TRENDS TO WATCH
•    O'Toole ranks eighth in the conference in rebounding (6.0) and second in offensive rebounds per game (2.7), and has eight steals in his last four games.
•    Amado has scored in double figures in 18 consecutive games dating back to December 1 and ranks second in the NEWMAC with seven double-doubles.
•    Kloman, who is averaging 15.0 points in three outings since returning from injury, has made at least one three-pointer in all 18 games he's played this winter.
•    Mulvey's 50 three-pointers are six away from the program's freshman record of 56 shared by Mark Giovino '98 and Michael Kingsley '97.

NUMBERS TO KNOW
•    The Beavers are 7-0 this season and 14-1 since the start of the 2023-24 campaign when holding their opponents below 40 percent shooting.
•    Babson is 7-0 this winter when making at least 10 three-pointers.
•    The Green and White is just 2-5 on the road against NEWMAC foes this season with four of the losses coming by six points or less.
•    The Beavers are 10-1 on the year when giving up fewer than 70 points.

UP NEXT
•    Babson concludes the regular season at home next Saturday against Coast Guard.
