Women’s Tennis Reveals 2026 Spring Schedule

BABSON PARK, Mass.— Following a successful 2025 fall season that included an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Cup national singles title and an ITA New England doubles crown, third-year Babson College women's tennis head coach Emma Hall released the 2026 spring portion of her program's schedule on Friday morning.

The Beavers, who captured a second consecutive NCAA Division III doubles championship last spring and finished No. 14 in last year's final ITA top 50 team rankings, are looking to continue their strong play this season. The Green and White will face a challenging 17-match spring schedule with as many as a dozen matches against teams that were ranked in the final 2025 top 50 rankings, including eight top-20 opponents and six top-10 foes.

Babson opens the spring slate on January 31 with a home match against Johns Hopkins, which finished at No. 9 in last year's ITA final Division III rankings. The Beavers will take on No. 28 NYU on February 28 in Cambridge, Mass., before a visit to No. 10 Bowdoin in Brunswick, Maine, on March 1.

The Green and White will take a trip to Hilton Head, S.C. during spring break, where they will face defending Division III national champion Washington University of St. Louis on March 15, No. 7 Wesleyan on March 17, and a rematch against No. 9 Johns Hopkins on March 18.

The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) slate begins on March 27 with a visit to Smith, followed by a clash at Wheaton on March 29. The month of April opens with a pair of weekday non-conference matches against local rival and 23rd-ranked Brandeis on April 1 and at No. 19 Williams on April 3.

The final seven regular season matches of the spring will be at home at the Babson Tennis Courts, beginning with a conference tilt vs. Emerson on April 4. The Beavers will welcome No. 32 Skidmore and league foe Clark on April 11 before hosting Springfield and No. 16 Wellesley for NEWMAC encounters on April 18 and 19, respectively. The regular season winds up with matches against No. 37 Washington & Lee on April 23 and defending NEWMAC champ and No. 8 MIT on April 25.

The six-team NEWMAC Tournament kicks off with a pair of quarterfinal matches on April 28, with the semifinals and final to take place at the site of the No. 1 seed on May 2-3. The tournament winner will receive an automatic berth into the NCAA Division III Championships.
