Women's Tennis Recruiting Class Ranked 12th by Tennis Recruiting Network

Tennis Recruiting Network Release

BABSON PARK, Mass.—
The Babson College women's tennis program boasts the 12th-ranked recruiting class in Division III according to the Tennis Recruiting Network (TRN), which announced its 2026 rankings late last week.

Head coach Emma Hall, who just completed her third season, and first-year assistant Kartik Erodula are set to enroll the Beavers' fifth consecutive top-15 recruiting class this fall. Going back to 2019, the Green and White has had eight consecutive top-25 recruiting classes leading to the most successful run in program history.

Babson is set to add three rookies to its program and is one of 10 teams across Division III with at least two four-star players. Te'Anna Mata of Naples, Fla., is ranked 159th by TRN and boasts the top Universal Tennis Rating (8.13) among the group, while Vanessa Vu of Dorchester, Mass., is ranked 189th by TRN and owns a 7.94 UTR, and Nanami Sheskier of New York, N.Y., has a UTR of 7.33.

"We are super excited to welcome Nanami, Te'Anna, and Vanessa to Babson," said Hall. "Each of them brings unique strengths and experiences that will make a significant impact on our program. Beyond their talent on the court, they are outstanding people who embody the values of our team and will contribute positively to our culture. We're excited to see their growth over the next four years and the role they'll play in helping our program continue to reach new heights."

TRN enlists the help of a number of Division III enthusiasts, coaches and insiders to aid in the rankings. In addition the Star Rating, they also display the highest TRN, UTR, WTN and International Tennis Federation (ITF) junior rankings for each player going back to January.

Babson is one of three New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) programs ranked among the top 25 along with No. 10 MIT and No. 18 Wellesley. The top 25 features 10 teams in all from New England, seven of which are ranked among the top 15.

The Beavers are coming off a historic 2025-26 campaign that saw Matia Cristiani '26 become the first NCAA singles champion in program history in addition to the team reaching the NCAA Tournament semifinals for the first time. The Green and White, which also captured its first NEWMAC title since 2014, finished the year with a record of 19-5 and were ranked a program-best fifth in the final ITA poll.
