SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 16-29-10 all-time against Wheaton in a series that dates back to 1981.
• The Beavers had their four-game unbeaten streak in the series snapped back on October 25.
• Going back to 2010, the sides have split 18 matches with six wins apiece and six draws, while 14 of the contests have been decided by a single goal or finished in a draw.
• The Green and White is 4-1-3 over its last eight games versus the Lyons at home since 2012.
POSTSEASON HISTORY
• Babson and Wheaton will meet in the conference quarterfinals for the second year in a row on Tuesday afternoon.
• The Beavers won last season's matchup 3-1 to improve to 3-6-2 all-time against the Lyons in the conference playoffs and 2-3 in quarterfinals matches.
• The Green and White faced Wheaton six times in the NEWMAC Tournament from 2004-16 but had not met in any of the last six championships prior to last season.
LAST MEETING
• Karina Contreras scored the only of the game three minutes into the second half to lift Wheaton to a 1-0 win over Babson on October 25 in Norton, Mass.
• Despite getting outshot 26-9, Contreras broke up a clearing pass and lofted a shot over Beavers' first-year goalkeeper
Maisie Creamer from the left side of the box, and Patricia Bandrup made it stand up with nine saves for the Lyons.
• Creamer made five of her seven saves in the second half for the Green and White, which finished the contest with a 12-0 edge in corner kicks.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Fourth-seeded Babson (8-4-5) has dropped two of its last three matches and suffered a 2-1 loss to Emerson in its regular season finale on Saturday.

Josie Lee opened the scoring with a brilliant strike into the upper left corner in the 17th minute and Creamer and senior
Cleo Grignard combined to make three saves for the Beavers, who gave up the equalizer in the 21st minute and fell behind for good with 11:03 remaining in the contest.

• Grignard (3-0-3), who made her first start of the season on Saturday against Emerson, boasts a 0.67 goals against average to go along with a .833 save percentage, while Creamer (4-3-1) owns a 1.01 goals against average and a .806 save percentage for a Babson squad that has kept eight clean sheets on the year.
SCOUTING THE LYONS
• Fifth-seeded Wheaton (10-7) closed the regular season with three consecutive victories after rallying to defeat Salve Regina, 2-1, on Saturday.
• Julia Sternat tied the game in the 40th minute and picked up an assist on the go-ahead goal by Ali Roche in the 83rd minute for the Lyons, who got 10 saves from Bandrup.
• Roche (9-4-22) scored six times against conference opponents during the regular season, Kate Wickenheisser (7-1-15) and Contreras (5-1-11) have combined for four game-winning goals, and Kate Rafferty recorded four of her team-high five assists against NEWMAC foes.
• Bandrup has started all 17 games and ranks second in save percentage (.874), is tied for second with five shutouts and ranks third among NEWMAC goalkeepers in both goals against average (1.14) and saves (132).
NEWMAC TOURNAMENT TRENDS
• Babson has advanced out of the NEWMAC Tournament quarterfinals nine times in 12 tries (9-2-1) since 2012.
• Four of the Beavers' last five conference tournament victories have come by a single goal with the lone exception being last year's 3-1 triumph over Wheaton.
• Babson's last postseason shutout came in the 2021 quarterfinal round when it fell to WPI in penalties following a 0-0 draw over 110 minutes.
• The Green and White is 5-0-1 in its last six conference tournament matches at Hartwell-Rogers Field since suffering a 1-0 quarterfinal loss to the Lyons back in 2016.

GETTING DEFENSIVE
• The Beavers rank second in the NEWMAC with a 0.76 goals against average and their eighth shutouts this fall rank fourth in the league behind only MIT (15), Wellesley (10) and WPI (10).
• Babson has conceded just 13 goals in 17 matches this fall, which matches its 2021 squad for the third fewest allowed in single season program history. The Green and White gave up just 10 goals in 19 games in 1993 and 11 over 19 contests in 2011.
WHEN 90 MINUTES ISN'T ENOUGH
• No overtime was played during regular season contests for the third consecutive season but all postseason matches will feature two 10-minute sudden-death overtime periods if a game is deadlocked at the end of regulation.
• If the game remains tied after both overtime sessions, a winner will be decided by penalty kicks.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Beavers are 4-2-3 at home this fall.
• Babson is 27-0-4 over the last four seasons when leading at halftime.
• The Gren and White is 4-0-1 when scoring at least two goals and 8-2-4 when conceding one goal of fewer this year.
