BABSON PARK, Mass.—Three members of the Babson College women's soccer program were honored for their hard work on the field and in the classroom when the College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced their Division III Academic All-District teams on Tuesday afternoon.
Senior
Meredith Greeley (Ottawa Hills, Ohio) and junior
Priscilla-Rose Men-Martin (Rolling Hills Estates, Calif.) were named to the CSC Academic All-District team for the second straight year and sophomore
Lillian McAughan (Bellevue, Wash.) made her first appearance on the Academic All-District team.
A Finance major who played in all 18 games for the Beavers with seven starts, Greeley collected a pair of assists this season. She set up the only goal of the game in the 53rd minute in a victory over Springfield on September 20 and assisted on the second goal of a 3-0 win over Wellesley on October 29. She averaged more than 38 minutes of playing time per game and finished fourth on the team with nine shots on goal. The four-year veteran finished her career with 72 games played, scoring five goals and adding six assists for 16 points.
An Accounting and International Business major, Men-Martin was in the starting lineup as a defensive midfielder for all 16 of her appearances this season and earned her second straight All-New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) recognition. She averaged 79 minutes per game on the pitch, logging all 90 minutes six times and helping the Beavers register a 0.89 team goals against average with eight clean sheets and conceding no more than one goal 14 times. A three-year veteran, she has started 31 of her career 41 appearances.
A Business Analytics and Finance major, McAughan saw action in all 18 games this season with 15 starts at forward. She finished second on the team with 51 shots and tied for third in scoring with two goals and one assist for five points. She scored the first goal of the game in a 2-1 victory over Clark back on October 8, assisted on the first goal in a 2-1 loss in the regular season finale against Emerson, and tallied Babson's only goal in the 58th minute of a 3-1 loss in the NEWMAC tournament first round match-up against Wheaton. A two-year veteran, she has started 18 of her 38 contests with three goals and one assist for seven points.
Babson finished the season with an 8-5-5 overall record and a 7-3-1 mark in the NEWMAC, advancing to the conference tournament for the 27th straight season.
Since 1952, CSC has honored more than 40,000 outstanding student-athletes across the NCAA. To be eligible, a student-athlete maintain a GPA of 3.50 on a 4.0 scale and must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games or must start in at least 66 percent of the contests.
