Izzy Lee (2-1-5) and
Autumn Simon (1-2-4) has combined for three game-winning markers.
• Creamer (4-2-1) has started the last seven games and owns a 0.99 goals against average and a .813 save percentage to go along with one shutout, while Grignard (3-0-3) boasts a 0.50 goals against average and a .882 save percentage in seven games, and saw her first action since September 28 on Wednesday.
SCOUTING THE LIONS
• Emerson (8-5-4, 6-2-2 NEWMAC) has dropped back-to-back games for the first time since late September 2024 after suffering a 4-0 loss to No. 8 MIT on Wednesday.
• Hailey Forman finished with four saves for the Lions, who trailed 1-0 at halftime before conceding twice of the first 18 minutes of the second half.
• Rowan McCrary (4-4-12) has provided three goals and three assists in conference matches, Linae Bezdek (3-2-8) has two game-winning goals, and the duo of Kelsey Yoshikawa (3-1-7) and Abby Cockerill (2-3-7) has combined for three markers against NEWMAC foes.
• Forman has started 15 games going 8-4-3 with a 1.13 goals against average and a .798 save percentage to go along with five shutouts this fall.
WHAT'S AT STAKE
• Both Babson and Emerson have secured home field for next Tuesday's NEWMAC Tournament semifinals and can both finish as high as the second seed depending on Saturday's results.
• The Beavers enter the day sitting on 22 points, which is one ahead of third-place Springfield (21) and two clear of fourth-place Emerson (20).
• The Green and White will secure the second seed in next week's championship with a win versus the Lions, or a draw and a loss or a draw by Springfield against Clark.
• Babson can finish no worse than third with a draw and would only slip to the fourth seed with a loss to Emerson and a Springfield victory over Clark.
SENIOR SENDOFF
• The quartet of Grignard, Greeley,
Gabby Michalski and
Izzy DeMatos will play their final regular season home game on Saturday at Hartwell-Rogers Field.
• They have helped the Beavers go 40-21-12 over the last four seasons while advancing to the NEWMAC Tournament semifinals in 2022 and 2024, and the conference championship game in 2023.
COMFORTS OF HOME
• Babson has lost just once in eight matches at Hartwell-Rogers Field this fall going 4-1-3, which includes dealing 11th-ranked Rowan its only defeat of the year back on September 12.
• The Beavers are 8-1 over their last nine conference fixtures at home going back to October 12, 2024, and have gone 10-3-4 overall at home since the start of the 2024 campaign.
DEPENDABLE DEFENSE
• The Beavers rank second in the NEWMAC with a 0.69 goals against average having conceded just 11 goals through 16 matches this fall.
• Babson has posted five of its eight shutouts against league foes, which is tied for second in the NEWMAC, and has conceded more than one goal just twice in 16 matches on the year.
