• Babson has a 16-12-5 record against WPI in the all-time series dating back to 1995.

• Babson (3-1-4, 2-0-0 NEWMAC) suffered its first loss of the season Sunday in a non-conference affair at Johnson & Wales, 1-0, in Providence, R.I.

• Cottone (0.67 GAA, 405 mins, 21 saves) has started all eight games for the Beavers while Grignard (0.38 GAA, 315 mins, 14 saves) has made seven relief appearances, and they have combined for four clean sheets.
SCOUTING THE ENGINEERS
• WPI (7-2-2, 2-0-1 NEWMAC) is unbeaten in its last six games (5-0-1) after a pair of conference road wins over Mount Holyoke (3-0) last Saturday and Wheaton (2-1) on Wednesday.
• Steckley has scored and sophomore Abigail Johnson potted goals in both victories for the Engineers, and first-year Tiziri Tizi-Ougdal scored once vs. the Lyons. Junior Delaney Mohl picked up an assist in each of the two games and juniors Katie Adiletta and Jess English and sophomore Caetlyn Embree added one helper each. Sophomore Ayla Verheul registered the clean sheet against Wheaton and made five saves against Wheaton.
• Steckley (5-3-13) has scored in four straight games for the Engineers and shares the team scoring lead with Johnson (5-3-13), who has two goals and two assists in her last three games. Senior Reese Pszenny (3-1-7) and Tizi-Ougdal (2-0-4) are also multi-goal scorers.
• Verheul, who has started all 11 games (1.08 GAA, 14 saves, 585 mins), has combined with sophomore Maya Mussel (0.44 GAA, 15 saves, 405 mins) for six shutouts for the Engineers, who were picked to finish fourth in the NEWMAC preseason coaches' poll.
BABSON VS. THE NEWMAC
• Babson has registered a 27-8-9 record in regular season conference matches since 2021 with four straight top-four finishes in the league standings (4th in 2024, 2nd in 2022 and 2023, 4th in 2021).
• The Green and White, which advanced to the conference tournament semifinals last season, received one first-place vote and was picked to finish second in the NEWMAC preseason coaches' poll.
ON THE DRAW
• Less than halfway through the regular season, Babson has recorded four draws, seventh most in program history.
• The single-season program record for ties is six, recorded in 2006 and 2008, followed by five draws in 2013, 2015, 2021 and 2024.
